Two units of Premier, Inc. provide purchasing services. Purchasing Partners provides group purchasing services to approximately 1,500 acute care hospitals located throughout the United States. Provider Select provides group purchasing services to approximately 20,000 other providers and physicians located throughout the United States.
Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., a California limited partnership ("Purchasing Partners") operates the acute care hospital group purchasing program. The limited partners of Purchasing Partners are 204 non-profit hospitals and health systems. The general partner of Purchasing Partners is Premier Plans, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company that is owned by Premier, Inc.
The group purchasing program for other providers and physicians is operated by Provider Select, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Provider Select") that is owned by Purchasing Partners.
Premier is located in San Diego, California with offices in Charlotte, North Carolina, Chicago, Illinois and Washington, D.C.
